Wack Wednesday: Record on the Range

They say practice makes perfect.

Well, if that’s the case, then Noel Hunt has to be the most perfect golfer in the world.  In 1990, Hunt took to Shrigley Hall in Port Shrigley in Great Britain to set the world record for most golf balls hit in one hour.

How many did he hit?

How about 1,536 range balls in 60 minutes.  That’s 25 ½ golf balls a minute;  one golf ball every 2.4 seconds.   For an hour straight.  My back aches just thinking about it.

And talk about grooving your swing!  I wonder how many blisters the guy had afterward.  And certainly we hope he took the next day (or week for that matter) off.  Phew.

Oh, and speaking of the driving range, check out this cool trick shot!  Wonder how long it took them to perfect this.
