St. Johns Golf & Country Club hires Executive Chef Eric Fritsche

(ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.)St. Johns Golf & Country Club – the celebrated Billy Casper Golf-owned facility nestled in between Jacksonville and St. Augustine – has hired Eric Fritsche as its new executive chef.

Fritsche comes to St. Johns from River & Post restaurant in Jacksonville, Florida where he built his appreciation for impeccable service, quality ingredients and the culinary arts. Prior to returning to the greater Jacksonville area, Fritsche served as executive chef for Cat Cay Yacht Club in the Bahamas, as well as Riviera Country Club in Miami.

"I am incredibly thrilled and humbled to be joining St. Johns Golf & Country Club,” says Fritsche. “After decades of experiences leading me through a life of unique professional diversity, I find myself at the top of my career and more passionate about my future than I’ve ever been."

St. Johns is also undergoing an exciting clubhouse renovation and expansion. Fritsche and his staff will provide input on the project to ensure a world-class dining experience for all. The $2.5 million plan includes the addition of a reception hall, grand event lawn, fire pit and social area, outdoor patio bar and deck overlooking the water. In addition, the existing restaurant, kitchen and dining room will be renovated and expanded, making for an exceptional wedding and banquet venue.
