There aren't too many people on the planet who can legitimately claim to have beaten Tiger Woods in a round of golf. One of those people teaches at The Golf Club at Oxford Greens.
Dennis Hillman is the PGA Director of Instruction at The Golf Club at Oxford Greens in Oxford, Conn. Hillman took down Woods by a 3-and-2 count in the semifinal round of the 1990 U.S. Junior Amateur.
Woods, 14, lost to Hillman, then 16, in his first deep run in the U.S. Junior Amateur. Woods then went on not to lose in the U.S. Junior Amateur, winning three consecutive titles before moving on to take three consecutive U.S. Amateur titles. In other words, Hillman was the last person to beat Tiger Woods in a major USGA amateur competition.
So if you are in need of golf instruction, there are few people better equipped to understand taking what you learn on the range to the first tee!
