Tiger Lost In The Woods

1757 Golf Club

What’s going on with Tiger Woods?

That’s the question WTOP’s Noah Frank posed in a recent story when he turned to Tiffany Faucette, lead instructor at 1757 Golf Club in Dulles, VA for answers. Frank sought out Faucette, the LPGA Northeast Section Teacher of the Year, to get her opinion on what is causing Woods’ woes on the golf course.

“What I’m noticing is all his injuries and surgeries,” said Faucette. “That’s more telling in his play being more variable than we’re used to.”

Woods pulled out of the Farmers Insurance Open during the first round with what appeared to be yet another back injury. “It’s just my glutes are shutting off,” Woods told the media.

“I tried to activate my glutes the best I could … they never stayed activated.”

While no one knows for sure what the future holds for Tiger, it’s safe to bet he’ll be the butt of a lot of jokes in the weeks to come.
