Women’s sports have made significant strides since Title IX back in the 70s and Ellie Braun, a golfer at Pinch Brook Golf Course in Florham Park, NJ, is considered a pioneer in women's golf.

She first stepped onto the golf course in 1986 and 29 years later she hasn’t stopped. At 92 years young she is capable of driving the golf ball 145 yards.

Her son encouraged her to play golf, when her husband died, to fill the void and ensure she was getting out there meeting new people.

“I like the challenge,” Braun said.  “Nobody else can do it for you.  I love it.  I love the fellowship of the other women too.”
