It's probably a dream of yours to someday own a golf course all to yourself. How great would that be? No need for tee times; you've got all of them. No worries about pace of play; you go as fast as you'd like. While that's a pipe dream for most everyone, the super rich have an opportunity to pick up a golf course and a mansion together for the totally reasonable price of $25 million.
The 106-acre property, known as Asherwood, is in Carmel, Ind. It boasts a 50,000-square-foot mansion and an 18-hole golf course. According to the Indiana Business Journal, the home has 36 rooms, including seven bedrooms and 24 full or partial baths. There's also a 6,000-square-foot guest house, a 7,000-square-foot clubhouse and three golf-course maintenance buildings.
The property, developed in 1999, belongs to the estate of Indiana real estate developer Mel Simon, who passed away in 2009. Simon and his widow were working to find a buyer for this amazing estate before the billionaire died. So far, no luck. Maybe we Kickstart this?
