Experience the U.S. Open -- sort of -- at California Golf Course

California GC U.S. Open

If you're reading this on U.S. Open Sunday, that means you didn't make it to the final round of the national championship at Pinehurst No. 2. That's OK -- hardly any did.

But if you want to experience conditions similar to what the players competing on Father's Day will see in North Carolina, Cincinnati's California Golf Course has you covered.

Each year, the grounds staff at the club work especially hard during U.S. Open weekend to showcase just how tough the club can play. General manager Micah Peavley says he wants players to see the course "pop" as they're playing over this special weekend.

@paul_stothers We couldn't agree more! Would love to see slow-mo replays of the golf ball coming off his clubface, center every time!
