BCG Pix: Staring down an intimidating approach shot

Eastpointe No. 18

Welcome into BCG Pix, our weekly feature where we showcase your pictures of our courses from a pair of contests run in 2014 challenging you to share your best photography while playing Billy Casper Golf courses.

This week, we head down to Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., for a look at Eastpointe Country Club. The membership has been enjoying a newly renovated clubhouse this season, but the George and Tom Fazio design is still the star of this facility. The finishing hole at Eastpointe is a beast, playing as long as 463 yards. There's water all up the right side and the second shot has to carry some water to land on the large island green.

Chris Horn took to Instagram to share just how uneasy this shot can make someone feel. Then add in the clouds, and, well, it just seems like an ominous scene. But we love it!

Though our contests and, in much of the country, golf season are over, keep the pictures coming using the hashtag #BCGPix on Twitter and Instagram.
